All I can say is ..... Time for a 12 bolt.

An inch off the floor? And you can't slip it? I wouldn't like that...

It can be slipped, just nothing like the POS Z06 clutch. As for an inch off the floor, where else would you want it??
I am still torn about getting this clutch as I get stuck in traffic alot. Also the fact that peoples defination of streetable varies greatly.
I am happy that you like the clutch though

This thread confuses me even more about this clucth now. First post says its definately an on off type clutch, but its extremely streetable. Then the next post says you can slip it.

I haven't driven Ron's car very much, only the one time right after I installed the clutch. It can be slipped just a hair, but nothing like a stock clutch. The "on/off" is basically saying that when you release that pedal, it grabs and jerks the car foward. After driving with a setup like this, you learn the tricks to making it easy to deal with. My previous Carbon Star setup chatter 10x more than this Ram, more "on/off", and I drove with it everyday to work and back. If your car is making a lot of power and you need something streetable to hold it, I would highly recommend this clutch.

Did you do the drill mod? I have done the adjustable with drill mod and have the 02 slave in hand but haven't landed on a clutch yet. Leaning towards RAM but am afraid with the drill mod and your on/off statements the RAM would be really hard for stop and go driving. Your thoughts?

Ron's car does have the drill mod and it drives perfectly fine for stop/go. There is also an upgraded slave, but no adj. master as of yet.

[quote]what are the part #'s for this clutch???

Not sure, you'll have to check with Ron on that.
[quote]Where can I get the RAM Clutch? I've checked all trhe sponsors and have not found it. All I see is the Star, Cartek, and ZO6. How much would a complete RAM cost for a 98?

Greg, you can get this setup from Summit Racing. Better yet, if you want to save some cash, you can just have your stock flywheel cut and reuse it. The disk and PP are only 330 from Summit.
Well thanx to Damian and his awesome mechanical abilities the Ram went in last night. The install went very smooth. A few extra bolts left over, but nothing important First impressions are....... Holy ****, this clutch is awesome. hardly no chatter in 1rst or reverse. Its definately an on off type clutch, but its extremely streetable.

Glad to hear you like it. I'm thinking of going RAM too. What series disc did you go with and how much HP/TQ are you pushing?
