Default Is the 9" the only answer

I have been reading a few posts here seems like all I was hearing was the 12bolt sucks most of the time, the 10bolt we all know sucks all the time I'm trying to find a way to get a good rearend and not take a loan out for it I'd rather buy a set of heads and a cam.I have been trying to find a used rearend from a junkyard grind off the crap I don't need and weld on my fittings off my 10bolt and freshen up the internals I would like to get a 9" but that seems like a such a pain in the ***.Has anybody tried to bring an 12bolt out of retirement and make it conform to LS1 heat, or should I just start a garage sell and save up for a 9"?

From what I've heard 9" assembly is the only, best and right way to go !!!!
That's what I'm going with, I'll be ordering one any day now......just can't wait....

You will not be dissapointed I debated for almost 2 years. I was all about keeping my ABS (3 channel car). But its nothing. Still drives great and dumping it at 5700 off the line

I've done all the research, looked at my options, and both for strength and money the 9" is really the only option.

Mine's on order now...piecing it together myself to save some money vs. a complete unit.

If you want a good, solid 9", contact www.billingsleyracing.com
If you want a 9" that may or may not be good, get a Moser.

If you want a good, decent rear end on your F-bod, get a Strange 12 bolt.

I got the Strange. You guys gotta keep one thing in mind: The posi is the weak link in these aftermarket rears. Even the posi in the 9" goes out....it happened with Carlos I believe...?

The 12 bolts do give way, but if you put a spool (or locker) in them, I believe your breakage issues will subside.
