Re: Tranny Fluid? My trannys all get synthetic. Premium synthetics have better heat tollerance and live a lot longer in a high heat environment - ie towing and performance applications. For example, AMSOIL's synthetic ATF has an acceptable operating temperature range (~-50*F to 275*F) that exceeds the entire operation range (including the border line range and extreme limits) of common pertroleum based ATF. It also has about 3 times the fluid life of common ATF.
Tranny Fluid? I am about to install my new torque converter and have a little question about tranny fluid. Is it worth the money to buy synthetic or should I just stick with conventional? If it is worth the money I want to do it when I change converters so that I can change ALL of the fluid. Thanks.
