Check out this thread, it seems more people are happy with their strange. I know I am. https://ls1tech.com/forums/gears-axles/357326-happy-your-new-12-bolt-not.html

strange for sure, at least from design stand point,it maintains the factory style thru bolts on the torque arm mount. They use two long bolts versus 4 short bolts that bolt to the top and bottom, these bolts are notorious for coming loose and breaking torque arm brackets, cant say I have heard of any problems with the strange unit my.02....

Both Moser and Strange make good rear-ends. Both Moser and Strange rears can and have had problems. The problem is these rear-ends are subjected to just plain old abuse (not in the minds of us performance minded people) and things can happen. Moser has a two day turn around on orders, which is great when your car is your daily driver. When things do go wrong, and this is pretty much true of any component, you need to rely on the vendor that sold the rear to you to go to bat for you. I have had a Moser 12 bolt with the Eaton Posi in my own '99 Z28 for almost three years. It has endured many 4000 to 6200 rpm launches, and has never let me down. Last year I did break a 3.5" aluminum driveshaft yoke and the U Joint. With the 540 rwhp recorded on my Mustang Chassis Dyno, things are bound to break, but the Moser 12 bolt has never let me down. Moser has been good to me in my drag and street cars.I did buy my 12 bolt used and was dead quiet untill a few wheel hopping experiances at the track and a broken T/A.It whined and clunked to a stop after that but a new yolk and quality gearset made it perfect again.I loctited the T/A bolts and they have never come loose.
