Default PICTURES - Chrome Lug Nuts - GM 12-Bolt Studs

Some of you had some questions about what you could do if you upgrade to a GM 12-bolt rearend and want to run the stock rims/tires without looking ghetto and having those extra long studs sticking out of open ended lugnuts. I sure didn't want that look on my car! I have a Moser 12-bolt rearend with the longer 1/2" studs. The solution is to use a 5/16" wheel spacer (same one I use with my Weld Draglite wheels) and use these 1/2" conical-seat truck lugnuts.

Front wheel with stock sized 12mm x 1.5 chrome lugs (Gorilla lugs, with Gorilla lock):

Rear wheel with 1/2" truck sized lugnuts:

I purchased the Gorilla 12mm stock sized lugs at Discount Tire, and got the 1/2" truck lugs at Pep Boys.

Tony,
Your right that look's alot better with those lugnuts on.My car has longer studs with the SS wheels and the plastic caps fit over the front studs but not the back.It does look kind of stupid.

Is that the famous MTI parking lot your car is parked in.I have to get down there and check that place out and meet you and the MTI crew.

later
John
