Convince me to get rid of my 2.73's!

Re: Convince me to get rid of my 2.73's!
my last time slip before I tore down my motor reads-
60ft-1.97
330-5.035
1/8th-7.50- 100.27mph
1/4-11.47-123.22mph
That's with 2.73 and little 2800 stall and 3650lbs.
Through the 1/8th the 2.73 are just as strong as 3.73 with a good powerful motor.
The last half track you lose about .1 to max of .15 et and about 1.5mph vs 3.73
But with a stock rear I would snap 3.73 real easy. Heck look at the 60ft, that was on 275/50/15 drag radials and I still could not hook at all. Easy 10 second pass with a slick!
2.73 are the strongest gear set you can put in a stock 10 bolt so I stick with them. Not to mention they are silent and give great cruising mileage.
I have personally swapped back and forth from 2.73-3.73 about 4 times now. 3.73 have much snappier throttle response and give the feeling the car picks up a lot more than it really does.
2.73 are not that bad really with a good motor and a decent converter as the 3.06 and 1.62 gearing in a a4 create a near perfect gear spread for poweradder use for 1/8th mile. 3rd gear sucks though.
Just a little PRO 2.73 discussion.
