3.42 gears
i bought some 3.42 gears out of a 2000 ss camaro. i have a 2000 z-28 with 2.73. i bought them for $50. i have a part # on the ring is 12 41 26050890 xxx. i am wondering if these will work in my car. the place i bought them they said they will work.any ideas of the part #. is this the thicker series. if they do not work what will i need to get them to work. i do not want to change out carries. somebody throw some info back at me please...

USGear (Strange Gear) Part # 01-875373X
which is a thick series 2 which will fit your car.

You sir, are correct! (Except the part # is wrong, gotta change the 373 to a 342 so the right part # is 01-875342X)

In a nutshell:
The gears you bought are useless unless you change carriers. Don't worry, the same thing happened to me, but I sold my gears to someone who could use them for $50!
