Default Need Help Quick! BMR Adjustable Torque Arm

Just wondering . . . it appears like the adjustable part with the locknuts faces the bottom of the car . . . can anyone confirm? I'm trying to install it now . . .

That's correct. And just in case you're about to ask, you want the pinion to point down a couple of degrees, not up.

Thanks, Stefan! I'm just finishing up the install now, then I'll adjust the pinion angle . . . so when you say down, you mean like -1 to -2 degrees, right?

Right. I run mine about -2 degrees but I hear about people running as much as -4. It's basically trial and error but -2 is a good starting point.

OK, the instructions from BMR don't make sense . . . they say to get the driveshaft angle, then get the mounting plate angle, and then subtract the two to get the pinion angle. Their example says 'Ex: -6 rear end angle subtracted from +4 driveshaft angle = -2 degrees ). Unless my math skills have gone to hell, you'd have to add those two to get -2, not subtract. So far I have +2.5 on the driveshaft, and -2 on the rearend, but I've got the adjuster out pretty far, I hope there's more left. Because I'm assuming I would add the rear angle to the driveshaft, which now puts me at +.5. Does that sound right? That means to get a -1 angle, I'll have to keep adjusting until the rear hits -3.5, right? I've already noticed the top of the torque arm touching the body already, and the more I adjust it, the tighter it gets. I've got the front of the car on ramps, and stands under the rear axle as if it were on the ground. According to their instructions, as long as the rear is loaded either by being on the ground or with jackstands, it doesn't matter.
