Good to hear that you are happy David. Thanks very much for the feedback its good to hear. I have been very busy and although I have been fielding some interest for these rears as stated above I am finished building them for now. I have used up all my rope with respect to LS1tech selling them here and in order for anymore to be sold through here they will need to be paid sponsorship fees and thats not low buck. Presently the jig and assorted 8.8 items are stored away at my shop but if there was an order of ten or more I may be able to build another batch. This may require your ten bolt core though I am out and they aint easy to find in the great white North.

I am not posting here to try and get five million PM's again so dont bother PM'ing me asking questions about one or two please. All the info I have and many pics are on this site so please search and satisfy your curiosity rather than ask me the same questions over and over.

Not trying to be difficult just trying to lay it out for you guys.

u know i know nothing about the politics involved in running a site of this size or the costs to do so so dont flame me for what i am about to say. its a shame that some people are unabale to present abetter product that was i currently available on the market without paying to do so. i can understand maybe if it was a buisness that was pushing all there products etc, but when a single guy who does things for a hobby gets the same response its hard to watch. this rear was looking to be my best approach for my plans with my car and more and more things like this are what kill it. im going to have to buy a pos 12 bolt or a metric ton 9 inch for a bolt on car. best of luck with what u do cam, and if u do start building them again u will be hearing from me. provided i havent wasted my money on a 12 bolt by then.

and like i said i have no idea how a site runs, and i mean no disrespect to its owners, its just these types of things do more damage than good to alot of us.

No one ever said that 8.8's are weak. The structural integrity of the housing AFTER morphing it with 10 bolt axle tubes and welding on a torque arm mount (the peiece that takes the brunt force of torque during a launch) is what is in question.
Thank you, please pass thru.

I'm building a few more this winter for local guys. I have another design that is even better yet... In fact i'd go so far as to say it just plain wont break. If it does the pumpkin literally would have to tear in half and I have yet to see that on any rear so I think I have the R&D done. In the meantime I've been pulling 1.69 60's on mine all season as high as 7K clutch dumps. I cant go faster in the 60' because the LS7 clutch just wont go faster its already begging for mercy. I'm on the original diff ( the pretty pics ) still without any issues although I did blow up my Torsen T2R at the track this summer which is a shame I loved the way it drove with that thing. Now I'm back to a Trac Loc. Nothing too radical in my set up ( aside from the driver hehe ) 400 rwhp 12.1 best so far its the dang 3.73 gears that are really holding me back I've trapped as high as 119 so theres lots more in it but its not a drag car I built it for driving and the 3.73 gear is perfect for my needs in that regard.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Currie build a 8.8 for the F-bodies??? I could have sworn I've seen them advertised before. Off to their site I go. I'm looking pretty hard at putting one in my 98. I've abused the ever loving **** out of those axles in many a mustang and never hurt one.

8.8 are strong as hell but the prob is a 9" is much cheaper and easier to build so knowing that why go for a 8.8??

I wouldn't quite say a 9" is cheaper OR easier to build than an 8.8. ESPECIALLY when most of the cars you're dealing with will never break 700ish hp anyways....

a 9" is stronger than a 8.8 but is overkill for most cars even with a m6. i got my 8.8 for around $1500 if i remember right.I'll never go fast enough to break it my car is a street car 1st race car second i only go to the track a few times a year anyway.
