Madman torque arm?
I have a Spohn arm right now, and have been pretty happy with it. It's a little damaged from the fire I had, and the slider tube on the end of the arm is bent, as well (it's been that way for awhile, and slowly getting worse). I figure rather than try to clean up the Spohn arm, I may try out the Madman torque arm. I know it's on a number of really fast cars out there, and seems like a durable part.
If anyone knows;
Is it longer, or shorter than the Spohn arm?
How much (approximately) does it weigh?
What kind of connection does it use to mate with the included crossmember?
I presume it is totally separate from the tranny crossmember, right? My tranny crossmember is modified to work with my TH350 tranny...
Does it come powdercoated, or do I have to paint it?
Also, any opinions on whether it would be right for my car? My 60' times were usually in the 1.43-1.44 range, and dropped down to high 1.3's before the car broke. With the addition of a transbrake and the new motor I have in the works, I feel the car should be capable of 60' times in the 1.35-1.38 range or so (assuming traction)...
I'd just like to hear a little more about this torque arm before I drop almost $700 on it. <img src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" border="0">
Thanks...
