Question axle abs ring question

Does anyone know if the abs/TCS ring on the end of each axle can be removed and re-installed onto a axle off a 3 channel rearend?

The reason I ask is I need to replace my passenger side axle shaft out of my '01 WS6 with TCS and I can't find any axles in my area with the ring.

Also, are they're any other axles that I could use outta other cars?

Stock axles are 28 spline correct?

Thanks,

Matt

Yes you can, however you will need an adapter to fit it on. Moser makes them, they are $27.50 ea.

Or, you can just press your ring onto another TCS axle. I have a spare if you need one.

Well I have the ring on my bad axle. I am having no luck finding ANY axles for my car in my area. Dealership wants $207 for one. I was hoping I had better luck finding a non-TCS axle and just swapping the ring off my old axle onto the new axle.

Thanks,

Matt

all the non tcs axles i've seen don't have the lip to press the ring on. i don't see how you could use an adapter there either. i have two tcs and two nontcs axles here in dallas.

The spare I have is a TCS axle, so you could use that- I took the rings off to use on my new Moser axles, which came with these adaptor rings that the TCS rings press onto. The adaptor rings fit on the bearing surface of the axle out past where the bearing rides. So if you prefer you could just get the adapters from Moser and use on the non-TCS axle.

Thanks for the info! If you have a axle you'd like to sell, PM me with prices. It would need to be shipped to 48021. I need the passenger side axle.

Thanks,

Matt
