Default U joint cost !

Hey guys, I'm preparing to put my new rearend in the car and went to get the proper u-joint to mate the 1350 yoke to my LPE alum driveshaft - looks like it is a cross between the 1350 and the 1330. Anyway, my local NAPA quoted me $32 - seems kinda high to me - is this about normal ? I usually only pay about $10 for my trucks u-joints (eats 1 a year at least).

TIA !

Tim

a normal u joint is under $10. you are not buying a normal u joint you are buying a conversion u joint wich are rarely ever used. hense the $30+ price.

I believe the U Joint you need is a Napa #448, and $32.00 is indeed a normal price.

For what it's worth... I broke my Lingenfelter driveshaft last year at the 1330 end with my 540 rwhp combo, and I went with a PST 3.5" driveshaft that uses a 1350 yoke and comes with the U Joint for $395.00. Bob

Wow, never heard of an LPE ds actually breaking. Is your car an M6 ? Just curious for reference. My car will never see the north side of 400 rwhp btw, so I hope I am ok. It is an M6 though.

Wait, I thought the stock driveshaft and joints were 1310 series. Are they 1330?
