??? driveshaft / vibration ??? Ok, I properly torqued all bolts/nuts for rear suspension. Set the car down on all 4 wheels and marked the yoke of the driveshaft. Then I raised the *** end only and watched the yoke of the shaft and it barely moves out of the trans.
The yoke is inside the trans about 2-3/8". It only moves about 1/16" at most.
Car is equipped with fully adjustable spohn frame mounted torque arm.
Trans angle is -4 the pinion angle is +2. I already tried the pinion angle adjustment by going from the ground to the rear, and from the driveshaft to the rear. So far my vibration is SLIGHTLY better with this final adjustment.
I'm not sure if the travle on the yoke is normal or not. If I raise the entire car instead of just the rear would that make a differnece?

When adjusting the pinion angle on the sphon T/A you must have the car sitting on all four tires. Wether it be on the alignment rack or a stack of 2x4s or 2x6's ect. It must be at ride height to get the correct reading. i went through this with mine. Make sure you losten the two bolts on the end of the T/A not the ones the connect into the rear!!!! get the angle finder on the bottom of the pumpkin facing you. It is a reverse threaded nut. Adjust it so that the angle finder reaches -3, or -4, don't go more thn -4 for street use. Mine vibrated horribly until i did this. let me know if this works out for ya
