Default 4.11s or 4.56s?

I just resently bolt my 10-bolt a the track. So, it's time for a 9 inch. I have the money to buy a new moser 9 inch, 4.11s and locker. But i know a guy that is selling a moser 9 inch, 4.56s, locker, 500 miles( never been to the track).I can get the used one for about a grand less. My question is what are 4.56s like in a M6 f-body? How much of a differents is it from 4.11s? Should i buy the new or used?

Thanks

i would just stick with the 4.11s if you drive it everyday. If a track car i would go with 4.56s

buy the used one and get 4.11s put in it if you run out of gear with the 4.56s

exactly. 9" gears aren't too hard to change.

Get some nice big sticky tires and the 4.56s will be a good match.

agreed... if you run out of gear w/ the 4.56's go with a taller tire. easier than changing gears.......... i don't think it will be a huge difference on gas since you have the 2nd overdrive.

I have 4.56s. I run with 28in. tires to get down the track. For the street, they are fine IMO.

That is a good point, seems like they would be a good median...i thought about them for a lil bit, but did not give them to much insight. Does any1 have any thoughts on 4.30's??

I have 4.30"s and love them. Hard to tell the difference between them and 4.10's. They drive about the same on the road. Just not much of a 1st gear unless you really wind it up. It seemed to run about 300 rpm's higher at the track. I run a 26" tire. But I also have a 10 bolt too.

I have also been considering getting some 4.33's. they look like they would really wake up my car when i decide what head and cam combo i want.

The name is Yukon. You can do a search and find a dealer. I just happened that the guy who does my rear sells them. As far as I have seen, they are the only one's that make it for a 10 bolt. I guess there wasn't a big demand for them.
