Default yea or na on posi lube???

I gotta change my rear end fluid.....(poor abused 10 bolt <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0"> <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0"> )

I know to use syntehic 75-90 but I've heard confilting opinions on the additive.....

what'cha think guys?


I suppose it can't hurt but I'm curious to see if it's needed.

You most definitely need to add it. Don't use the cheap stuff either...it can make your posi chatter. The genuine GM stuff works great.

I use Redline and it has the GL-5 additive already in added. So I didn't add anymore.

No issues with 30K miles, bunches of AX runs and lot's of miles on a road course.
