Default Will a 12-bolt and big tires hurt a 400rwhp 1/4 times?

I've decided to upgrade to a 12-bolt. My car only makes 400rwhp so I'm hoping that the 12 bolt isn't going to slow me down. I just made it into the 11s with an F14 cam, SS4000, almost all bolt-ons, 3.73s and lots of susspension mods. I don't want to start breaking things so I figured I better upgrade. My best 60' was a 1.6 spinning a little(had to use traction control). Now I will have a 12-bolt with 4.10s and 15" bogarts(havn't decided what tire). Before I was on stock rims with BFG drag radials. Do you guys think I will see gains in the 1/4 or will I be slowed down untill I add more power?

I would think that with the 12-bolt you will be able to get out of the hole quicker, plus with the 4.10's, the big tire wont hurt you. I don't see you going any slower as long as you get a nice launch. Tim.

won't hurt you and should help. Eliminate the spinning and you'll go faster.

I lost a couple of tenths and mph with the 12 bolt. With 400 hp the tires shouldn't be a issue since you have 4.10 gears
