just got my new 10 bolt put in and theres a squeaking noise

Default just got my new 10 bolt put in and theres a squeaking noise

i just picked up my car from the shop and they put a new rear end in, and there is a ticking noise that goes with the speed of the car, the faster i go the louder it gets? what could this be ? it is driving me nuts

its coming from the u joint where the driveshaft meets the rear end, that thing right there, its a very quite ticking noise. when i spray it with wd40 it goes away, but after a while it comes back? what give?

If its got some miles on it the u joints might need replacing! They make a constant poping sound and really start to make the most noise when driving slow with the window down!

so you think it just needs to be worn in for awhile? the u joints are stock from what i can tell.

If there still stock ya may need new ones but if ya just got a new rear end take it back to the shop tha done it and put it on a lift where ya can walk under it and isolate were it is coming from the stocker can't be greased and can dry up and turn the needle bearings into dust!I've saw it a couple of times!
