Need help problem with shifting me or car? Hey all,
I am currently experiencing a problem when I shift my car and I don't know if it is me or the car. I have a 2001 Z28 M6 Hurst loaded with nittos all around; drags on the back. The problem does not occur under normal driving conditions. The Problem occurs when I get on the gas and go to shift into 2nd; there is a loud clunk, some wheel hop and it shifts into second. However, if I ease the car into second while flooring the gas it does not make that sound and there is no wheel hop. Am I incorrectly shifting or is this a normal thing under these conditions. I cannot hear if my wheels chirp over my exhaust, but it seems like my ET is slower when I shift it hard. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
