Default 9 inch clearance problems?

I was just wondering if anyone has run into any problems with the centersection of the nine inch being to large to work with lowered cars. I have a 12 bolt in my car that isn't lowered and with the spohn torque arm, on hard launches the torque arm hits the tunnel on the bottom of the floor. It now has a pretty good sized dent because of this. I was wondering about the lowered nine inch combo for a friend of mines 02 z28. Will it be necessary to have stock ride hieght in order to run a nine inch, or does it even matter.

im lowered about 1"-1.5" with stock tq arm and no clearence issues with mine
i think with a different tqarm you may need the BFH for the rear of the tunnel

I made a new TA mount for my BMR TA to move it over a couple of inches and get the clearance I needed. I was not going to BFH my car !

I'm lowered about an inch, SLP Bilstein and SLP Eibach, does that mean I'd be okay with the stock TA but have problems with an aftermarket one? Thanks.

This is helpful because I thought it was just a no-brainer to get a better TA. It looks like I'll be staying stock there. Thanks.
