Gun drilled axles

Gun drilled axles How much lighter do they make things. I know that it is rotating mass which less is better. I am about to buy a 9in and I was most likely going to opt for these. Also what gear is just down from a 3.50? I have 3.42s now and don't wan't to go higher if I can help it.

Moser at first only offered the aluminum center section, and they have never had one that they know of break. I agree with everyone above, don't go for the gun drilled axles on the street, unless it's basically a track only car. Go for the aluminum center section instead. With aluminum center section, price including shipping is $2,500.00. Bob
If its a stret car I wouldnt run a Alum. center section the weight isnt worth the reduced life of ring and pinion...Also it wouldnt be a bad ideaif you do choose a alum center section to have the set up re checked once theres some miles on it alum will move around enough to warrant a double check
