Default Need HELP with Moser 12-Bolt

A buddy has a Moser 12 bolt with 33 spline axles, posi, aluminum cover, 3 channel ABS. The problem is he's had to replace the bearing 2 times and the axle seal 3 times because one of the two is leaking and can't seem to figure it out. Any advice or help would be appreciated. Thanks,

Chris

When I had my bearings/seals pressed on, the seals were all distorted and needed to be messed with to get them straight, otherwise they never would have sealed. Also, make sure you have the bearings facing the right way!

I have just rebuilt a Moser built 9" and the driver side axleshaft was too long, it was binding the axle bearing so bad it cracked the outer race of the sealed bearing. I have never seen this before, but on some of the assemblies I build myself I have had to grind some material off the splines because of binding. Double check if the splines are running into the differential.

Matt, I don't know you, but you might have met my buddy Ray at the track rental in Bradenton last weekend. He has the Blue Firehawk. I'll let him know what you said. Thanks

Only thing I can say is I've been there, done that, and feel your pain. My axles had to be coaxed into place with a sledge hammer and a 2x4. I have replaced a driver side bearing and axle seal...(33 spline axles).
