Fabbing 9" rear Hi guys,
I am building a 9" rear using an old housing I had lying around.
The housing will not be pinion centered.
My question is whether this will effect anything other than the placement/fit of the torque arm? The approximate axle lengths are 26 and 31 inches long.

For a long shot I also need the above mentioned axles with a 35 spline count.

Thats interesting... Aside from any clearance issues, I dont see why it would be a problem, i mean, thats what the U joints do vertically anyway, right? Its only 2.5" over, which dosnt seem like much. But Im not a rear end tech, so dont rely on my opinion...

I was wondering if the different sized axles mighr cause a condition like torque steer in a fwd car. I guess that is stupid,
