Default Help me with 9" decisions please!

I've tried to search but no matter what I do it won't search beyond 2006 so I get a whopping 2 months worth of info. Anyway, here is my situation.

I'm considering a Moser 9" rearend for my car. Future mods are FM13 cam, LS6 S2 heads, 150 wetshot, 4000 stall behind TH400 and suspension upgrades.

The car is not a daily driver and will probably spend more time either at the track (1/4 mile) or driving to the track then anything else. So with that in mind how should I order a Moser 9"?

1350 or 1310 yoke?
Detroit locker, trac loc posi or full spool?
Nodular case or aluminum case?

ET is most important but it will be driven occasionaly on the street. I expect to eventually hit mid 10's (on spray of course) and I don't want to buy or fix a rearend after I make this investment (which is why I'm going 9" instead of 12 bolt).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I have the 1350 yoke. Bigger and stronger.

Full spool on the street. Lighter, cheaper, and they say the detroit feels like
one anyhow.

and a Nodular center section If I had the money I'd have went lightened everything
although I heard once, and don't know how good the
source was, that the aluminum center is not for
street use due to flexing or something like that.

If you go with a spool (for racing it is the best) it will be hard on you tires on the street. When you make a turn your axles are turning the same rev's and it will push you through a turn because the inside axle (in the turn) will go the same rev's as the outside. Will drive really strange and be murder on your tires.

He is only driving to the track and most turns on highways your going to fast and they are not sharp enough to even notic the spool

I vote for the 9" aluminum center section and gun drilled axels 35 spline and a spool -would be even lighter than the 12 bolt

I agree, a 9 inch with an aluminum center and a spool, along with 35 spline axles makes for a very stout rear. For occasional street use, this is a very stout set-up.
$2,300.00 shipped. Bob
