Default Stock PCM and Lock Up Feature

My Mods ARe FLP's, TR-224 Cam, STOCK PCM FOR NOW, ST-3500, NGK's, LS-6 Manifold, and Boltons. When the car was 'tuned' with the aftermarket PCM the converter would lock up. With the stock PCM the converter does not lock up. Does this sound common?????

Driving around with my stock PCM with these mods isn't THAT bad. if the converter were locked up when it should lock itself up, then it could be totally liveable. I just don't like how my temp gauge went past the 210 mark <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

well, my car locked up slowly with the stock PCM & HPP. Not sure it was the HPP or the PCM. Ed Wright solve that for me!

My Car reset itself so it only had like 4 or 5 miles of 'relearning itself'.

could the misfires the engines making, cause issues?

The mis-fires from the TR224 cam are causing the unlocking. Kill the mis-fire codes and your converter will lock-up like magic. My car does the same thing and I assure you it's mis-fire related.

Don't be fooled into thinking that elimination of the P0300 code (in your pcm tuning) will get rid of the unlocking problem. You need to address the mis-fires themselves. Do this and you will lock up every time.
