Hey Guys and Girls, I just moved back to Chicago from Cleveland and I need your help.
I have a 98 SS with an M6 and I am haveing a prob with the tranny. It pops out of 3rd under decell sometimes, and sometimes grinds going into 3rd. Plus, when shifting, it's really chunky, i.e. not as smooth as it was. I think the sincro's are shot. I'd like to have someone rebuild it and make it better than new. (More durable parts) Also, I need a new set of gears for the rear end. What shop do you guys recommend in the chicagoland area. BTW, I use this car for AutoX and I street drive it as well.

Hmmm...
Try...
Chuck Johnson, FLP
www.flpexhaust.com
Chuck, FLP. Chuck has rebuilt some M6's for some of the www.MFBA.org folks around Chicago.
Franko, Lattof Chevrolet
Arlington Heights
I mention Franko because he can do that stuff on the side. It would most likely be a stock rebuild. He does gears too.
