Started the 10 Bolt Rebuild (help) The break down went well, missy but that's part of it I guess. Two issue I need help with, first its a Torsen carrier for 2000 SS (3:42) stock but those we're exchanged long ago for 4:10's.
Issue 1, I stripped the bolt that holds the carrier paddle in place, where can I get one of these as quick as possible?
Issue 2, after removing the carrier I mic'ed the pre-load shim's, pass side (single shim 245 thousand) driver side (single shim 235 thousand). Is this common to have only a single shim per-side?

Joe, the bolt may be found locally at a dealership and those shims are what the OEM uses to set preload and backlash. Just make sure you mark the caps and remember where the shims go when you start to reinstall it.
