Default EATON posi or spool?

I am planning on ordering a MOSER 12 bolt soon. What is the difference between the EATON POSI option and SPOOL option? Any advantages/disadvantages from one over the other.

I can't complain about my Eaton. Both tires spin <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

A spool is a different experience on the street.. not alot fun to drive on the street.. unless your a sprint car driver <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

I dont agree. I have heard alot about the posis wearing out fast with lots of power. I have a locker in my 10-bolt and it drives just like another car with a posi. If you give it too much gas around corners it will break the tires loose alot easier because its locked, but if youre a pretty decent driver you can avoid this.

Maybe I just woke up and didn't understand your responds but are you saying spools wear out themselves? They're a solid piece of metal with no moving parts that lock the axles together. This is not good for going around corner with any kind of speed. This is one of the products that have that "Not for street use" tag that I listen to.

Now if you want the best street differential get a locker, if you quiet operation get a posi and if its a race car get the spool
