Default Thunder Racing Line loc button

Has anyone tried to use the Hurst line loc button instead of the one in the Thunder Racing kit?
The button in the kit must be pressed twice to release, it is ok for burnouts, but it is very awkward on the starting line.
When you hook the Hurst botton up all it does is make the relay buzz. I figure that someone else has run into this.

Ok, the two wires coming from the relay/going to the switch - 1 wire if grounded will activate solenoid(activation wire). the other wire is a signal to light up the switch(signal wire). If you want to install a push button, my suggestion is to splice into the activation wire and install a momentary switch between that wire and a chassis ground.(while leaving it attached to the switch) I really don't know if it will work that way, but it seems like it should. (if it does work the way I think, when you press the Hurst/momentary switch, the Thunder Racing switch will light up)
Or, if you do not want to keep the TR lighted switch, put the switch between the activation wire and ground, and the light between the signal wire and ground.
