Weird problem last night....Help!

Driving along at about 20mph and its like 65 degrees outside. All of a sudden under very MINIMAL acceleration, the car starts popping out of the exhaust, and it feels like the car is stuck in gear. When the popping occured, the car would jump. Is this a convertor issue? All plug wires/ plugs/ coils are fine. I do have mac's with offroad and cutout. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

Do you still have the problem or one time event?

Popping sounds more like an A/F issue, maybe a leak.

This was the first time it ever happened. I just had the mac's installed last weekend, so I was thinking burn wiring harness or something along those line. When you say leak, do you mean unmetered air entering or an exhaust leak?
