Its been a long time since Iv'e done them but I think the pinion nut is 36mm.

1)Mark the nut in relation to the pinion shaft

2)count the # of threads showing past the nut (eg.2 full threads and a half thread showing)

3)Take off the nut 1/2 inch impact is the best tool

4)Remove Yolk. Remove old seal with seal remover or screwdriver.

5)clean diff and install new seal with the lip seal lubed with gear oil.you probably wont have a seal installer so square the seal up to the bore and tap evenly around seal to seat it evenly.

6)Lube yolk, check for wear groove, if it is too deep replace it.line up splines and install

7)install nut and tighten till the #of threads you counted shows and the mark on the nut and the pinion line up.The nut will be hard to turn before the marks reach each other.line them up.

Also it is important to mark the relation of the drive shaft before you remove it and the yolk to the splines of the pinon before you pull it off.

Iv'e done dozens of cars and trucks like this and never had one return complaining of gear whine so I guess it works well.
