you never want to lock that tranny in any gear except fourth on the highway and third at the track ONLY.
The tranny will eat itself up if you lock it anywhere else.

Ah! important information, does Yank supply instructions and/or other info on the tranny? Getting through to Yank is not the easiest thing in the world!

Honestly I would not lock up my FLP IV #1 tranny until I was going at least 90mph, maybe 95mph and only in 3rd for me. If I had a triple disc setup I would lock it up in 2nd if I made that kind of power.

How does lock-up actually work and is it done manually for some set-ups?
