What controls lock up?
There does not seem to be any set set of rules..
the car will lock up at all different times/ and load .. there`s a road that i take which I swear the converter just will not lock up at any speed or acceleration unless I give it very little gas for more than 2 min. ...it`s in a valley, lower sealevel maybe ?? Other times it locks up completely normal...sometimes it takes a few seconds under light load... sometimes it locks under harder acceleration... doesn`t seem to be any logic in it.
I had the minimum speed that it can lock up at changed to 40mph and that worked for like a week till my possesed car decided to start locking up
at 35MPH again.. like it reprogrammed itself <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />
Around 50 MPH I really have to give it alot of gas till it unlocks.. otherwise it just lugs.
Is all this normal with a Converter? (VIG.3200)
Can anything be done to get it to unlock at less throttle at 50MPH thru LS1 edit? TPS voltage?? Slot the sensor ...??
Thanx.

I have done exactly what you have suggested. I greatly lowered the TPS required for it to unlock at speeds below 60 mph. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> I also made it downshift at lower TPS at speeds below 50 mph, because 4th gear is dog. <img border="0" alt="[Burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />

Re: What controls lock up?
Thanx Ragtop I will do the same that should make it stop lugging.
In the meantime I swaped the maf ends back to STOCK and it`s all back to normal again. MUCH MUCH better TC operation!!!
Those ported ends sure are bullshit, I am now a believer. I wanted to throw `em across the room!
