dyno pull questions???
How do you guys dyno your A4's?
I have dynoed on the motor for peak numbers by just rolling into third then punching it.
But what about on the bottle, I would like to see my A/F ratio on my whole 1/4 mile run, can this be done on the dyno?
Thanks
Jeff

Re: dyno pull questions???
Unless your dyno shop has a Tech II or similar device, all you can do is put the car in third gear bring it to ~ 60 - 90 mph (depending upon your rear gear) and mash it. The dyno will start recording after the upshift to 3rd.
If you have LS1Edit, you could temporarily alter your shift points to keep the tranny in 3rd as well as lock-up the clutch.

In a race, you'll be below 3000 rpm for only a brief moment at the launch, even if you have the stock converter. From a roll, you'll never be below 3000 rpm at WOT.

Re: dyno pull questions???
When I dynoed my car, they just smashed down the pedal and redlined the first 2 gear and up to 5800-5900 in third (power started dropping after 5400 anyways.
