Default Shifter Problem

Ok In installed a pro 5.0 and it rattles after 3000 rpms when im romping on it. Before this shifter I had a b@m ripper that did the same thing. The odd thing about this is with the stock shifter it doesnt do it? Does anyone know what it going on. I have a feeling it is the plastic ball joint where the ball on the end of the shifter goes into the tranny. Has anyone experienced rattles like this from there pro 5.0 or ripper?
Thanks
David

I installed the PRO 5.0 and have had no noises and/or problems with it. Did you reuse the rubber boot? Make sure that everything in torqued down properly. The shifter should not rattle. If you did take the rubber boot off, I would put it back on. Good Luck TTT for ya

make sure the 2 cap screws are locktited and tight from the handl to the shifter .

also make sure your stops are adjusted properly and tight. and that you have cut the boot and placed it correctly per instructions.
