Drive gearing question 4.10 with a 3 speed? ok the car i built is totally done now and im just trying to figure out how the gearing is all gonna work out. if anyone can give me what rpm well be at. It is a 396 LS1 making somewhere around 550 horsepower. Reverse Manual TH400. And a strange 12 bolt with a 4.10 gear, 26 in. tire. I believe it was a 4000 stall on it, slicks, all spohn performance suspension and K-member. The motor should be good to rev to 7500+. im just wondering the abouts, where is it gonna be when we cross the line and what kind of time are you guessing im gonna get out of it. any more info you need just post and ill reply asap. At what MPH do you want to know the RPM?
Assuming you can do in the neighborhood of 128-132 MPH crossing the traps, you will be right around 6800-7K RPM.
