Default 3 Channel To 4 Channel Rear End

I have a car with a 3 channel rear end. Can I swap a 4 channel rear end into my car? In other words, swapping my 3 channel 10 bolt out for a 4 channel 8.8 hybrid.

My car came with a (7.5") 3 channel and I bought a spare 10 bolt just incase I broke it and I soon found out I bought a 4 channel, at first I was pissed that I didnt do the research but once I found out all I had to do was swap over or buy the reluctor ring which gets pressed onto the differential and the magnetic pick up which goes in the top of the housing (you have to drill a hole) I just reused my backingplates and everything worked fine. Now that was a (7.5") 3-channel to a (7.5") 4-channel, Im not familiar what an 8.8 hybrid rear is... sorry
