Default Can I get less vibration with a Poly Tranny mount? I think I can!

I know that I poly tranny mount will allow you to feel more of the tranny shifts, bumps, rear end vibes, and things like that. My car seems to have a vibration when under heavy accerlration and at high speeds (90+). Whats going on is my pinion angle is changing when the tranny moves or torques. Energy Suspension does say that the poly mount does help maintain proper driveshaft angles. I think I might give it a shot.

I have played with my pinion angle but that does not stop the vibration, but it can make it worse. I have a custom crossmember that makes it hard for me to adjust the pinion angle. Instead of puting the finder on the driveshaft I have to put it on the output shaft or yoke coming out of the tranny. Mike (Yank) told me what to do but I did not write anything down and forgot. I have a 4L70.

Thanks
Brian

you should be setting your pinion angle at the rear of the driveshaft and on the rearend yoke, not at the tranny. maybe thats why you have vibrations?

I just forgot what he said. I'll e-mail him.

poly mount = ****.
You will NEVER get that vibration out. Stick a stock mount in and it will go away.

I really can't see a poly mount REDUCING any kind of vibration. I put one in after breaking my stock one and then took it back out 2 weeks later.

It seems to me that the stock tranny mount cannot really permit that much movement - expecially from torque. I believe that more movement can be traced to the motor mounts.

Your vibration may or may not be related to your pinion angle but putting a poly mount in will give you vibrations you never knew you had <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> !!
