Default going from steel to al driveshaft

is anything needed to swap out a factory steel driveshaft with an aluminum driveshaft out of a gu5 car? i assume the u-joints are the same? all i need is the al. driveshaft itself and nothing else? anyone?

They're interchangeable. I kept the steel when I put a complete 3.42 rear in my car and no problems.

If you use AL go with a custom high diameter one. I got one from LPE. Or you could use the stock AL driveshaft if you can find one.

It's a straight swap, I did it when I use to own a 3.4 V6 Camaro with the heavy two peice one.
