Motor mount ?
Motor mount ? Hey people this is my first post so thanks for having me. Well i have the dreaded banging y-pipe problem after my header install.I have a poly- trans mount on the way but i was looking for some extra insurance. Was told to try a poly- motor mount to prevent the motor from over tourqing on the driver side(the side my y-pipe bangs).Has anyone tried a polyurathane motor mount.

Re: Motor mount ? As near as I can tell, the poly engine mount is not in existense. However, Summit catalog recently came out with a part # for a poly engine mount for the LS1 motor. The problem is the part # is the same for LS1's and LT1's. The 2 motor mounts are not the same. Give Summit a call and see whats up.
Re: Motor mount ? If you are going to run the poly motor mounts, plan on having a good bit more vibrations transfered througout the car. There are several other ways to get the y-pipe to stop banging the floor, I wouldn't recommend this route...
