torsen posi in my auburn rear
Well my posi is broke and i have considering my options and they all pretty much suck but i found a deal from Byunspeed for a Slp O.E.M. Zexel-Torsen posi for $104.99 I personaly think thats a steal for the fact my posi is a $400 replacement, but i wanna know if their is going to be any problems switching my auburn posi to the zexel. I know i will have to unbolt my ring gear, but i dont have to re shim it or anything do I? Thanks

If you replace the differential without taking the pinion out, you will just need to check backlash and adjust it with side bearing shims if necessary. Even though you use the same ring and pinion.

Thats shitty, my 10 bolt isnt worth the $500 plus for a new posi and my time installing it. I will just keep driving around on my burnt out aubrun till i have money to get that Dana 60.

there you can get a whole rear for ~$500 shipped god bless ebay. and you'll have a backup rear if something breaks, not to mention it has 3.42's in it so if you're an A4, you can just swap this rear, see the performance boost and have a spare rear lying around in case you break something else.
or i suppose if you're really cheap (i have no idea what series it is):

or if you need a series 2:
