go with atleast a 3500 stall, but you are gonna lose mph with a stall so dont be surprise if your et is better but have lower mph. right now as i have 3500 tci stall, lt headers, tsp ypipe, hooker exhaust, lid and a 273 and i cant get it over 100 at the track, mostly due to the gear.

^ That's weird ... I could pull pretty consistantly between ~103.xx - 105.xx mph when my car was all stock (save for the lid) with 2.73's and street tires?! Considering you've got LT's (big power adder) you should be running well over 100 mph! (unless the stall REALLY eats that much power, but that doesn't seem right).

As far as the dead spots with your 2.73's, the only one that really seemed bad for me was between 40 - 60 mph. At that speed, the best you'll get is a downshift to 2nd, but it's WAY low in 2nd gear (but pulls right upto ~105 mph). I'm thinking that a stall should help compensate for the gearing at that point, otherwise 2.73's have some nice downshift points:

- upto ~40 mph, downshifts right to 1st! (pretty good pull)
- upto ~80 mph, downshifts to 2nd!!! (really good pull!)

Otherwise, as far as gearing, I've had 3.73's and 4.10's in my car (preferred the 4.10's) and they don't have as many dead spots, but in some cases there ARE dead spots unless you know when to manually force a downshift.

A stall will cure them all....no dead spots whatsoever now. The car pulls like a beast anywhere anytime. Gears will help but not as much as a stall.

I agree.. a stall will cure All the dead spots instead of just moving the dead spots to a different MPH range like a gear change would.

the 40-60mph Dead spot will be completely gone with a stall. Also with a stall the car will absolutly rip form he standstill with no dead spot from 0-15 mph where the car just chugs along before it gets into the powerband.

i was told that the stall takes like 4 mph off your car but you gain e.t but yeah highest mph was like 100.86, i need to get rid of the 273's the car like falls of big after the 1/8.

My car traped 105s both stock and with the fuddle 3400 but I also went with an FLT level 3 trans and tune with the stall. My car pulls hard all they through the 1/4 mile with the 2.73's. your car should trap at least 105 if not higher with those mods and I really don't think its the stall. Has the car been tuned after the headers and stall was put in? If not that will do it there.

yeah its not tuned right now,it pulls really hard before i hit the 1/8 but after it falls flat, but a lot of people told me that tuning will help but not much.
