The problem is like this. I start the car & it idles at about 1100rpm when in Park with 15/64" hole in the throttle body. When in Park I press the gas pedal & the motor revs normally. When I put it in Reverse or Drive, it idles at about 800rpm & the car starts moving, However pressing the gas pedal has no effect. I even pressed it all the way down & the motor did not rev. The code I got from the PCM is U1096 "Loss of Communication with IPC". However, I don't see that it has something to do with the problem.
Do you think that it is a PCM issue or a trans/converter issue? I'll appreciate any help.

just an idea but it might have somthing to do with the ASR/Cruse control motor.
