Default Rear problem (pic)

There was a leak on that part of the rear end that I saw about 1 month ago, dont know since when actually started but how do I fix that? and how important is it?

If you are not familiar with rear ends it is something best left to a shop, since you will be dealing with critical measurements. If you look in the FAQ there is a link to an entire gear installation that gives you an idea of how it all comes apart, although for a pinion seal you would only be taking apart the front.
