Moser 12 Bolt Vs Ford 9
Question, I'm running a t56 with 560ish to the wheels...Currently running stock 10 bolt with 4:10's, new motor will be here in 2 weeks. Have to upgrade..Please give advise....Does anyone have an idea of how much hp & tq I tend to lose by switching to either one of these rear ends?...Also, which rear end is the strongest and most preferred?

10-15hp. Neither is preferred, everyone will tell you something different so please search as this topic has been covered in depth many a time. I used a 12 bolt with no issue, some prefer 9 inches. You also need to consider 3 channel/4 channel etc and that mess.
Don't select a rear end based on how much hp you'll lose...get the one you really need...because chances are if you are making enough hp and racing enough to warrant the need for a stronger rear end, you are not going to miss that slight loss.

I recommend the Moser 9 inch for the six speed cars, as the rear is beefier than the 12 bolt. I also prefer the way the torque arm is bolted to the Moser 9 inch over the Moser 12 bolt. Bob

the 12 bolt is closer to a bolt in.. however, the way the torque arm mounts kinda sucks.
the 9in requires a little more work to fit in some cars... just a hammer tap here and there... nothing major... and it offsets the TQ arm, but it mounts it nicer...
the 9in can be slightly stronger then the 12bolt.
the 12bolt can be purchased setup for the 3channel ABS system, the 9in cannot be purchased that way, but you can make it work.
both work with 4 channel ABS.
the 9in has a dropout center, in case you want to swap between two ratios....
the 9in can be MUCH cheaper then the 12bolt, if you buy parts instead of a finished kit.
i think i hit most of the highlights there...
