Default 3.90's in a stock 10 bolt?

hey guys. im going to be ordering a set of gm 3.90 gears for my stock 10bolt. i was wondering if anyone has used these gears before? i wanted something steeper than a 3.73 but not too steep as a 4.10 so i thought a 4.10 would be just right, am i wrong? also what kinda break in time do these need?
