Default pinion seal, new crush sleeve needed.

I got in an arguement with somebody over whether or not you need to replace the crush sleeve if you are only changing the pinion seal. I said if you just take the yoke off and replace the seal you don't need to replace the crush sleeve as long as you don't crush it anymore. Please tell me who is wrong or right.

You should always replace it, it only cost $1-$2. You COULD get away without replacing it, but why?

Just go out and buy the solid spacer for a few dollars more, you CAN reuse those.
