Default Gears with a 28" tall tire

A4 LT1 car,has a Auburn rear in it now with a 3.42 (came out of a 96 SS 6 speed). It has something around a little less than 40k miles on it.

Have a set of MT E.T. street that are 28" tall 15X8 That I got a killer deal on and they have no passes on them and only a few miles.

I am hearing the 28" will not be all that great with a 3.42 gear.

Would a 4.10 be better or should I go 3.73? I did not really want to keep the 3.42's to begin with. Car only gets about 1,000 miles a year, could care less about gas mileage and all...

With a 28" tire, 3.90 or 4.10.
