Default series 3 carrier

im getting a set of 3:42 gears out of a s-10 rear end. my current gear is a 2:73 so i have a series 2 carrier... ok so i need a new carrier... if i take everything out of the s-10 rear end im fine cause that already has what i need the series 3 carrier and all correct?

yes, you'll need the pinion gear too, as well as a new bearing, and while you are at it, get a new pinion seal in there.

ok so as long as i get everythign out of the s-10 rear end im ok and of course get all new bearing an seals... i was going to get the TA girdle

YES. Or if you wanna use your posi you can get a spacer & just buy the gears. If your interested in this I have a brand new spacer. Its still in the shrink wrap with bolts & red locktite. I ordered 1 & got 2 so I'm gettin rid of the second. I used one for my rear & its holdin up fine.

I actually put 3.42 gears on a 2 series posi when my rear got rebuilt.
