There is also more aluminum in the 3.5" driveshaft than in the 3.0" stock one. Bob

Just ordered a driveshaft today. I can wait to get it in and not have to feel the vibration from the stocker anymore. With having 4.10 gears the vibration is terrible at normal highway speeds.

Thanks Bob
If the rest of you guys are still thinking about getting a drive shaft quit thinking about it and do it. It's not like its that much money.

I've had the PST 3.5" aluminum D/S for about 2 years now. I'm happy with it.

are the PST ds harmonic balance or weights added? and if weights added are the weights on the outside of shaft or inside?

Thanks.

I can't say I've ever seen weights located on the outside of these driveshafts.

Here is a video of the PST Driveshaft in action in my Camaro.

any issues with the welds breaking? after breaking a 3.5 unit(not yours) a the weld a couple weeks ago I talked to a few local driveshaft companies. They all said the weld is weaker cause its harder and doesn't flex like the shaft

No, I have never had a problem with the welds on the PST driveshafts. They are rated at 1000 hp and come with a lifetime warranty, and has held up just fine in my Camaro in the pic below. Thanks for inquiring. Bob

Do you guys still answer PM's? I know I've seen posts about PM's being sent and responded to, but I have PM'd twice over the last couple weeks about a driveshaft with no response. just wondering.

I've been looking around elsewhere at this point but havn't done anything yet so if you want to sell a DS, let me know.

The PST 3.5" shaft that I had a few weeks ago had what looked like 2 flat washers welded to the shaft One at the front and one at the back... They were welded at the center and around the outside edges..
My replacement shaft doesn't have them..

Yes, weight is added to the outside of the driveshaft to balance them if needed. The driveshafts are completely welded up before they are balanced, so weight has to be added to the outside if needed. Bob

Bob-
I know the $385 price was from a couple years ago, but can you do another GP or reduced price on the PST shafts? I'm needing another one for my other T/A.

Maybe for Feb-March timeframe - Tax Refund time of year?

Pretty please with sugar on top?

The PST I purchased for my Black T/A has performed flawlessly and no vibration for years now

I'll have to see what I can do, Jay. Our cost on the driveshafts have risen this past year. I'll get back to you. Thanks. Bob

Thanx Bob! just let me know...

BTW, if you have any laying around as returns, or in good used condition that will fit factory length (as used on 2000 WS6 T/A with 4L60E - think it's 41") let me know that also...

I'll check, Jay. We did have quite a few that we have recently sold off.

Thanks. Bob
