fix for 9 inch hitting floor?

Default fix for 9 inch hitting floor?





my 9 inch is hitting my bump stops and the bottom of the floor.should i just get a rubber hammer and make some room?

also what to do with the bumpstops?cut them in half for clearance?

BFH the floor pan for clearence you wont see it inside the car anyway and easy way to do it

Raise the car up till it stops hitting. That is the classic 9 inch hit right there . The next place will be the drive shaft tunnel from the torque arm if it hasn't already. Once you cut the bumpstops it will .

I take it you have lowered your car? We don't normally see a clearance problem unless the car is lowered. Bob

I don't know if that was directed at me but yes it was lowered . After crashing the axle through the boards at 270KPH, I raised it almost back to stock height .

yea i forgot to mention i have a prokit.i'll just break out the dead blow hammer.

That's exactly where mine is hitting and at the rear passanger seat, but I am not lowered. I did the BFH, but it still bottoms out. I also can hear a clunk right by where the the torque arm can flex back and forth and was wodering what people do to stop this????

mine hits in the same spot

i had to hammer the floorboard for t/a clearance, and for that spot in the pics, i let launches at the track take care of it
